About Drew

Drew Ballard is a commercial real estate advisor with         EXP Commercial, bringing a practical, performance-driven approach to advising property owners and investors across office, retail, industrial, mixed-use, and hospitality-adjacent assets.

Drew’s career in real estate began while attending Mississippi State University, where an early exposure to land, development, and ownership sparked a long-term passion for the business. He went on to spend over a decade with LGI Homes, where he built and led high-performing sales organizations across multiple markets. His most recent role was Vice President of Sales overseeing the Charlotte, Greensboro, and Winston-Salem markets in North Carolina, as well as the state of Tennessee.

That leadership experience shaped Drew’s disciplined, data-informed mindset—but ownership ultimately deepened his perspective. Through investing in long-term rentals and residential flips, Drew discovered a strong passion for short-term rentals, boutique hotel opportunities, and experiential real estate. These asset types aligned naturally with his lifelong appreciation for travel, unique places, and properties that create memorable experiences.

Raised in a rural farming community in Mississippi, Drew developed an early respect for land, nature, and the outdoors—values that continue to influence how he evaluates property, location, and long-term use. In late 2024, he relocated to San Diego, bringing his experience and perspective to a broader, more dynamic commercial landscape.

Today, Drew is driven by a desire to demystify commercial real estate and modernize how opportunities are communicated—particularly through clear education, thoughtful strategy, and modern marketing channels such as social media. He approaches his work with a goal-oriented, learning-and-teaching mindset, believing that the best advisors grow alongside their clients and openly share insight along the way.

Outside of real estate, Drew enjoys working out, surfing, cooking, exploring new restaurants, traveling, and spending time with his dog, Ranger. Whether advising on a transaction or sharing perspective, his focus remains the same: clarity, alignment, and long-term value.
